The Bogen C4000 Series is a software-based solution for commercial paging and audio distribution applications that demand a high degree of scalability and flexibility. The heart of the C4000 solution is a powerful, state-of-the-art system controller with an easy to use Web-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) that is accessible from any PC, tablet, or mobile device. The system leverages existing LAN, WAN, and/or legacy “home-run” speaker cabling for cost-effectiveness. Feature-rich, purpose-built appliances provide audio mixing, amplification, and distribution, as well as the ability to easily integrate with third-party systems, such as PBX, access control, and fire alarm.

The C4000 solution can be scaled to support a virtually unlimited number of audio sources, end-points, and zones. Additional features and capabilities can be easily added as user’s needs change. The software platform can be easily upgraded over time to address ever-changing customer needs, environments, and technology.

The C4000 solution features a built-in, streaming Internet radio service, airable. Business users can also access commercially licensed, customizable curated streaming music from SoundMachine, the premier music subscription service for business. Both services are perfect for a wide variety of background and/or foreground music applications. SoundMachine gives large and small retailers, restaurants, bars, or any other company looking to enhance their customer experience the ability to craft a seamless, engaging, and on-brand music experience.

AMPLIFIERS AND APPLIANCES

Feature-rich, purpose-built appliances provide audio mixing, amplification, and distribution, as well as the ability to easily integrate with third-party devices and systems, such as PBX, access control, and fire alarm. Available networked appliances include seven different audio power amplifiers, ranging from 1-channel x 20 Watts to 4-channel x 300 Watts, a 4-channel matrix mixer/pre-amp, and three new public address mixer/amplifiers. A versatile 10-Watt plenum-rated VoIP intercom module allows users to turn any speaker into an IP speaker for even greater site design flexibility, and an optional HDMI video output supports combination clock/messaging display applications.

Bogen’s Nyquist System Controller offers contractors a cost-effective means of deploying Nyquist based solutions using a state-of-the-art processing platform preinstalled with the Nyquist application server software. The Nyquist System Controller facilitates quick installs and offers high-performance operation for even the largest Nyquist system configurations. Developed with commercial sound in mind, the Nyquist System Controller can simultaneously distribute a virtually unlimited number of audio streams anywhere across the network, making it perfect for background music applications. Bogen’s Nyquist networked 4-Channel Matrix Mixer Pre-Amplifier (MMPA) offers cost-effective performance for permanent installations and commercial sound and is designed to meet the rigorous requirements of today’s sophisticated sound systems. Developed with the commercial sound contractor in mind, the MMPA provides unparalleled flexibility and versatility without the need for add-on modules. It includes state-of-the-art, built-in DSP for extensive and comprehensive signal processing–allowing users to skillfully manage and mix multiple audio input channels. The resulting audio signal mix can be directed to the MMPA’s line out or streamed over the Nyquist network, where it can be used for audio distribution to one or more zones. A&E Specifications

The Nyquist NQ-P0100 Matrix Mixer Pre-Amp (MMPA) shall support the following: four (4) software-selectable Mic or Line Input channels via three (3) XLR connectors and four (4) sets of screw-terminals; any single input channel shall be capable of being configured to support a Push-to-Talk microphone (e.g., Bogen DDU-250); one input shall be alternately configurable as an AES3 digital input. The MMPA shall support the following features: line-level output to drive input on a local amplifier; one (1) USB2.0 host port (Type-A connector) for future use; two (2) x RGB “full spectrum” LED status indicators. The MMPA shall include GUI based DSP controls;16-band Graphic Equalizer; Signal Present and Clip Monitor; Adjustable High Pass, Low Pass, and Bandpass Filters; NoiseGate; Compressor/Limiter; and 7-band Parametric Equalizer. Input/Output Controller | NQ-E7010


The Nyquist I/O Controller appliance provides eight (8) dry contact closure inputs to monitor events/triggers from 3rd party systems/devices such as Fire Alarms, Lockdown buttons, and sensors. It also provides eight (8) open-collector type relay driver outputs used to initiate actions such as clock correction (e.g., generating sync pulses) on 3rd party systems and devices. The outputs can also be configured via the Nyquist system software to respond to contact closure inputs from the same I/O Controller or others associated with the same Nyquist system.

Bogen’s plenum-rated Nyquist VoIP intercom modules offer a convenient and cost-effective means of transforming any low- impedance analog speaker into a full-featured Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) IP speaker. They utilize the latest technology to deliver superior audio quality, making them perfect for IP paging and audio distribution, while the built-in talkback capability allows them to be used in VoIP intercom applications. The “PV” model adds HDMI video output for the visual messaging application found in Release 2.0 system software. Designed with the commercial sound contractor in mind, these intercom module’s plenum-rating provides unparalleled flexibility and versatility to help simplify site design.

In addition to their wide-ranging flexibility, the NQ-GA10P and NQ-GA10PV use the latest in Class D amplifier technology and provide unmatched sonic quality, exceptional reliability, and reduced power consumption to permit standalone PoE operation over the local network.

These 10-watt, single channel, intercom modules are available with or without an HDMI video output, depending upon the application needs. They also offer a CAN bus interface to work with the NQ-E7020 Digital Call Switch (DCS) and a Form-C relay for controlling third party devices. Additionally, when paired with Bogen’s ANS500M microphone module (optional), the intercom module can be turned into an ambient noise sensor to help maintain paging and background music intelligibility in high-noise environments.

A&E Specifications

The Nyquist based plenum-rated VoIP intercom module shall be a model (NQ-GA10P or NQ-GA10PV) rated at 10 watts RMS and shall utilize UL 2043 plenum-rated packaging. The intercom module shall be capable of being powered by either 802.3af compliant Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switch, PoE injector, or model PS4815W 48 - 56VDC .3A (5.5mm x 2.1mm Barrel Jack) power supply when PoE isn’t available. The intercom module shall provide a frequency response @ 1 Watt 20-20 kHz +/- 0.25 dB at rated power.  Distortion shall be less than 0.03%. The intercom module shall contain one control relay output SPDT Rated 2A; NC (Normally Closed); Common; NO (Normally Open); and G (Ground). The intercom module shall be capable of supporting Digital Call Switch(es) model NQ- E7020 and/or CA-15C or CA-21B analog call switches. The intercom module shall provide support for a Bogen DDU250 Push-to-Talk microphone. Intercom modules that don’t provide Push-to-Talk microphone support shall not be considered equal. The Nyquist Digital Call Switch allows users to initiate a normal, urgent, or emergency call from classrooms or other staff locations via an associated Nyquist intercom speaker. This single-gang box type wall-mounted switch uses a full spectrum LED-lit ring to confirm user actions and to indicate status (for example, changing color from a solid color to blinking), or to acknowledge a button press when a user initiates a call or when a call has been terminated.
